Extremely rare Burlington 14k wrist watch.Comes with original box and an incomplete band which is also original. 1920s .The watch runs but loses a few minutes a day, the movement looks dirty in the photo and it probably needs cleaned and serviced. Being sold as-is And the stem is worn and hard to grip to wind.
The historical Burlington Watch Company was a mail-order sales company operating from 1908 to 1925, primarily based in Chicago, Illinois. It partnered with the Illinois Watch Company to produce watches, which were sold directly to consumers via mail-order to offer high-quality watches on an installment plan. The majority of American-sold Burlington watches used movements from the Illinois Watch Company.
Canadian market: Burlington also sold watches with movements from Swiss manufacturer Henry Moser & Co in Canada, particularly after the Hamilton Watch Company acquired Illinois, as the Moser movements qualified for railroad service.
